What's unique about the Active Smart™ system is that both the fresh food and freezer compartments have the cold air from the evaporator supplied independently using separate fans. The fan operation is controlled by an intelligent microprocessor which gathers information continuously from various temperature and door opening sensors.

Cold air is then delivered when and where it is needed and at the right volume, leading to precise temperature control and faster cooling and freezing rates. Active Smart™ provides more controlled and stable temperatures, slowing down the process of food deterioration.
